We Are In AI – Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully. They govern your access to and use of We Are In AI’s websites, online forums, platforms, events, digital communications, and related channels (collectively, the “Community”), which is operated by Innovationist Group LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or engaging with the Community, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We Are In AI is a public, educational community focused on the responsible innovation and artificial intelligence, fostering innovation, critical discourse, and open collaboration.Our Community includes public websites, online discussions, newsletters, event spaces (physical and virtual), and other content-sharing platforms (collectively, “Communications”).
By participating, you understand and agree that this is a public forum, and you are responsible for any content you share. You must not share confidential, proprietary, or otherwise restricted material, and you acknowledge that anything you post may be publicly viewed and used for educational purposes.

Some areas of the Community may require registration. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.  
• Be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.  
• Be fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.  

You may not register an account using someone else’s identity or impersonate any person or organization.

The Community includes content such as articles, comments, code, graphics, videos, audio, presentations, and other materials (“Content”) submitted by We Are In AI, its contributors, or community members.
Content shared by We Are In AI may be made available under open licenses (e.g., Creative Commons for expressive works), and you agree to follow the terms of such licenses as indicated.
You may not use any trademarks, logos, or brand assets of We Are In AI or other parties without prior written permission.
Some Content may be subject to third-party rights or licenses. You are responsible for verifying that your use of such Content complies with applicable laws and license terms.

You may contribute content to the Community, including written posts, comments, presentations, event contributions, or other materials (“Submissions”). Unless covered by a separate agreement with We Are In AI, by making a submission, you agree to the following:

• You grant We Are In AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, and promote your submission in connection with the Community, including for educational and informational purposes.  
• You understand and agree that participation is voluntary and unpaid, and you will not receive financial compensation or other remuneration for your Submission or participation.  
• You represent and warrant that:  
  • You own or have the necessary rights to make the Submission and grant the above license.  
  • Your Submission complies with these Terms and our Code of Conduct.  
  • Your Submission does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.  
• You acknowledge that your Submissions may be publicly accessible and reused by others under applicable open licenses.  

We reserve the right to remove any submission that we deem to violate these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or applicable laws, at our sole discretion.

You agree to follow the We Are In AI Code of Conduct, which promotes respectful, inclusive, and constructive behavior. Violations of the Code of Conduct or these Terms may result in:

• Warnings  
• Content removal  
• Temporary suspension or permanent removal from the Community  

We reserve the right to determine, at our discretion, whether behavior violates the Code of Conduct and to take appropriate action.

You acknowledge that the Community is open and public by design. While we strive to maintain a respectful and collaborative environment, We Are In AI cannot monitor all content or behavior in real time.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content. Views expressed by members do not necessarily reflect the views of We Are In AI.
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, please report it to: hello@weareinai.org.
We commit to reviewing reports in a timely manner and taking action when appropriate.

All materials shared through the Community are provided for educational and informational purposes only. We Are In AI does not offer professional, legal, or business advice.You use content and engage with the Community at your own discretion and risk. We do not endorse or verify the claims made by members or third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to:

• Release We Are In AI / Innovationist Group LLC, its organizers, partners, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Community or attendance at any Community event.  
• Assume all risk associated with your use of the Community, attendance at events, or reliance on any information or content provided. You understand that participation is voluntary and that all activities and materials are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.  
• Acknowledge that We Are In AI / Innovationist Group LLC does not provide, sponsor, endorse, or guarantee any funding, financial support, grants, or investment opportunities in connection with the Community or its events. Attendance or participation in any Community activity only grants you the right to be present or engage — it does not constitute any offer, partnership, or sponsorship arrangement.  
• Accept responsibility for all of your own actions and interactions with other members. You may not solicit, request, or promote goods, services, funding, or opportunities to other members in a manner that violates these Terms or applicable laws. We Are In AI is not responsible for monitoring every communication, transaction, or relationship between members and is not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from such interactions.  
• Acknowledge that We Are In AI / Innovationist Group LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, or reputational harm, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.  
• Indemnify and hold harmless We Are In AI / Innovationist Group LLC and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from:  
  • Your use of the Community  
  • Your Submissions  
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable laws or rights of others

These Terms will remain in effect until terminated by either party. You may terminate these Terms by ceasing all use of the Community and deleting your account (if applicable).We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You breach these Terms or the Code of Conduct  
• Your conduct creates legal or reputational risk for us or the Community  
• We discontinue part or all of the Community  

Upon termination, the licenses you have granted remain in effect for any Submissions you’ve made publicly available.

We respect the rights of content owners. If you believe that content shared in the Community infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to hello@weareinai.org with relevant information.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Community or the law. If changes are substantive, we will notify you via announcements, banners, or emails.
Your continued use of the Community after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated version.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be in the state or federal courts located in California. We Are In AI is a project and trade name of Innovationist Group LLC, and all references to “We Are In AI” in these Terms shall be deemed to include Innovationist Group LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates.

13. Events: Changes and Cancellations

We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any Community event (including physical and virtual gatherings) at our sole discretion. If an event is changed or cancelled, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants through email or other appropriate means. We are not liable for any costs, damages, or losses (including travel, accommodation, or any other expenses) incurred as a result of such changes or cancellations. Attendance at any Community event, whether free or paid, grants only the right to participate and does not create any sponsorship, partnership, or funding relationship with We Are In AI or Innovationist Group LLC.

14. Dispute Resolution and Limitation of Claims

Except for claims that may be brought in California small claims court, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Community, or any event shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration conducted in the State of California, in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration body. The arbitration shall take place in California, and California law shall govern the proceedings, without regard to its conflict of law principles. All disputes shall be between you and Innovationist Group LLC.You and We Are In AI / Innovationist Group LLC agree to waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
Any claim or cause of action must be filed within six (6) months after such claim or cause of action arose, or it will be permanently barred.

15. Third Party Links
Certain content, products and services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties.

Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party’s policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.
